Vice President, Investor Relations

Company Overview – Tango Therapeutics is a biotechnology company dedicated to discovering novel drug targets and delivering the next generation of precision medicine for the treatment of cancer.

Using an approach that starts and ends with patients, Tango leverages the genetic principle of synthetic lethality to discover and develop therapies that take aim at critical targets in cancer.

This includes expanding the universe of precision oncology targets into novel areas such as tumor suppressor gene loss and their contribution to the ability of cancer cells to evade immune cell killing.

Tango’s labs and offices are located in Boston, at 201 Brookline Avenue, in the Fenway neighborhood.

Summary

Tango has an exciting new opportunity to join the team as a Vice President, Investor Relations. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the VP, Investor Relations will oversee the communication and relationship between the company and its investors and analysts.

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with executive leadership and external communications on corporate messaging
  • Collaborate with the executive team to align investor relations strategies with business objectives
  • Oversee the creation of investor communications, including press releases, presentations, conference calls and Q&A documents
  • Ensure that investors receive accurate, transparent, and timely information about the company’s financial performance, strategy and outlook.
  • Coordinate and manage investor meetings, calls, conferences, and events as well as pertinent follow-up
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, analysts, and other stakeholders
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and investor feedback to provide strategic insights to the Executive Committee and Board of Directors
  • Work closely with the Finance, legal and communication team to coordinate the preparation of financial statements, earnings reports, and other disclosures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as required

What You Bring:

  • Undergraduate degree in finance or business
  • Minimum of 15 years of business experience in IR or related disciplines of finance planning strategy or research
  • Minimum of 10 years in biotech or life sciences
  • Scientific background preferred
  • Strong understanding of financial markets investment analysis valuation methodologies and financials models used to value a company’s performance
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to distill complex financial information into clear and concise messages for stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities with the capacity to interpret financial data and market trends
  • Ability to provide insights that contribute to the company's growth and competitive advantage
  • Proven interpersonal skills to develop relationships that inspire confidence trust and respect from internal and external contacts
  • Outstanding analytical skills to interpret the financial models used by investment professionals and analysts to value an organization’s performance
  • Experienced in working with a CEO CFO and Board of Directors
  • High personal integrity and strong work ethics
  • Detail oriented; science-based reasoning skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, start-up setting
