You’ll Be Responsible For: 

  • In this role you’ll work as a Scientist or Senior Scientist in a Protein Discovery team and bring your hands-on skill in protein purification and work in protein characterization. 
  • Work on mammalian expression of products including: engineered Fc-fusion, recombinant proteins 
  • Perform protein purification with affinity, ion-exchange (IEX), and size-exclusion chromatography (SEC).  
  • Progress programs into downstream testing in Quality Control and characterization utilizing methods including: SE-HPLC, SDS-PAGE, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and ELISA.  
  • Design and execute buffer screens and assays to optimize formulations of protein therapeutics. 
  • Bring experience with optimization of protein conjugation and purification processes  
  • Present your findings through well-structured documentation and engaging oral presentations to peers and management teams. 
  • Manage routine maintenance of instrumentation vital to protein biochemistry and collaborate with vendors when necessary. 

You’ll Bring With You: 

  • B.S. or M.S. in pharmaceutical, biological, or chemical sciences with 7–8 years of industry experience, or  
  • Ph.D. in a relevant field with 2 years of industrial experience in Biotech or Biopharma.  
  • Strong hands-on experience in protein purification and a solid grasp of protein biochemistry.  
  • Hands-on experience with instrumentation, including AKTA systems and bioanalytical techniques: HPLC, DSC, SEC-MALS, DSF. 
  • Proven ability to design and carry out biochemical or biological assays.  
  • Previous experience with protein conjugation chemistry is preferred.
