Senior Research Associate, In Vivo

Our client is a venture-backed early-stage biotech company focused on creating novel non-viral gene therapy solutions. They are seeking a Research Associate or Senior Research Associate to join their Platform Technology team. This role requires a candidate who is eager to learn, adaptable, and capable of thriving in a high-paced environment. The individual should have a background in biology, with hands-on experience in in-vivo experimental work and assay development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a small team to produce research samples for various internal projects.
- Support efforts to enhance and refine the gene therapy platform with innovative solutions.
- Maintain detailed experimental records and ensure organized data management.
- Perform animal handling, dosing procedures, and post-surgery care with precision.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biological sciences or a related field, with 2-5 years of hands-on experience.
- Experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to expand technical knowledge.
Technical Skills:
- Experience in data analysis and presenting scientific findings.
- Proficiency with small animal ultrasound techniques.
- Skilled in administering IP (intraperitoneal) and subcutaneous injections.
- Experience with cardiac and portal vein perfusion methods.
- Familiar with lab software like ELN (Benchling) and GraphPad Prism.
- Expertise in laboratory procedures such as anesthesia, blood sampling, euthanasia, and necropsy.
Compensation: The estimated salary range for this role is $95,000 to $125,000 per year, with the final offer depending on experience, education, and specific skill sets.
