Internal Communications Manager

A dynamic and innovative firm seeks an Internal Communications Manager to join its marketing team. This role is key to shaping the firm’s internal communication strategy, promoting consistent messaging that connects employees and enhances the firm’s culture, aligning both internal and external channels.

The role requires a relationship-driven communicator who can transform leadership’s vision into engaging content and build strong cross-functional partnerships. This person will drive communication strategies that boost internal culture while highlighting the firm’s unique strengths externally.

Core Focus:

  • Develops cohesive internal communications in line with firm values.
  • Builds cross-functional relationships to gather authentic stories.
  • Ensures consistent messaging across internal and external channels.
  • Drives leadership communication and change management efforts.

This hybrid role offers flexibility to work from home and attend any of the firm’s U.S. offices as needed.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating and implementing internal communication strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Developing leadership messaging for employees, including crisis communications, and collaborating with external communications.
  • Guiding leaders on best practices to engage internal audiences.
  • Collaborating across departments to ensure clear, engaging, and consistent messaging.
  • Managing internal platforms (intranet, newsletters, announcements) for effective information delivery.
  • Measuring communication impact, reporting on effectiveness, and suggesting improvements.
  • Repurposing cultural messaging for external platforms in partnership with External Comms.

General Areas of Focus:

The Internal Communications Manager will collaborate with senior leaders to:

  • Support Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Facilitate communication and streamline processes across departments.
  • Build the People and Culture Brand: Ensure consistency in cultural messaging in partnership with the External Comms team.
  • Promote Firm Culture Initiatives: Highlight company values and celebrate diversity, inclusion, and employee stories.
  • Share Announcements: Deliver company news on key updates, financial results, and strategic goals.
  • Coordinate Town Halls and Q&As: Engage employees through company-wide meetings with senior leadership.
  • Support Change Management: Develop communication strategies to assist with organizational changes.
  • Handle Crisis Communications: Ensure timely, clear messaging for unexpected events.

Reporting to senior marketing and HR leaders, the ideal candidate will have 7+ years in corporate communications with a focus on leadership and employee engagement. A Bachelor’s degree is required.


Compensation and Benefits:

Comprehensive benefits cover physical, emotional, and financial wellness.

Salary Range: $115,000 – $172,750, plus a potential performance-based bonus. Compensation is based on qualifications, experience, and location. Further details are available upon request.
