Our client is a clinical stage pharmaceutical company with multiple drug candidates in the clinic. As they scale, they’re looking to hire their first Director of Internal Communications.

 

Reporting into their Head of People, The Director of Internal Communications is a highly visible role. The right candidate will enhance the employee experience, improving culture and communications companywide. The Director will work with the executive team on communications and events that will reach the entire firm.

 

This is a fully remote position, with occasional travel. This position comes with a comprehensive compensation package. Base salary will range from $210,000-$230,000. Apply today!

 

Responsibilities:

  • Internal Communications Strategy: Develop a cohesive strategy, including channels, voice, and an annual calendar
  • Content Management: Lead all company-wide communications across various forums
  • Advisor to Senior Leadership: Provide strategic advice on internal communications
  • Talent Acquisition Support: Collaborate on creating recruiting materials, including Employee Value Proposition
  • HR Partnership: Work with the Head of People on HR-related communications (e.g., engagement surveys, DEI initiatives)
  • Employee Training: Conduct trainings on communications and change management
  • Effectiveness Evaluation: Track and improve communication strategies through feedback

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 10+ years in communications with a focus on the biotech or pharmaceutical industry
  • Skills: Excellent writing and speaking skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences
  • Other Attributes: Proactive, detail-oriented, able to navigate ambiguity, and handle projects with shifting priorities
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
  • Salary: Anticipated range of $210,000 – $230,000/year, with some flexibility based on experience and location
  • Travel: Up to 10% travel required for company meetings
