You will be a key player in evolving communication strategies, leading high-profile scientific events, and driving employee engagement through compelling scientific storytelling.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement innovative communication strategies to engage R&D and broader corporate audiences.
  • Create and deliver inspiring content that highlights the client’s scientific vision, leadership, and organizational achievements.
  • Lead the planning and execution of high-profile scientific events to foster engagement across various leadership groups.
  • Collaborate with the R&D Corporate Affairs team to develop and maintain their R&D communication channels.
  • Proactively seek out and develop stories that align with the company's mission and values.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Strong background in drug discovery/development in the life sciences sector.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, especially in conveying complex scientific information.
  • Proven experience managing complex communication programs or campaigns.
  • Ability to drive projects to successful completion in a matrix organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to change and respond appropriately.
  • Hands-on approach to achieving milestones and resolving issues.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience communicating with large employee populations (500-1,000+).
  • Background in large organizations such as big pharma, biotech, healthcare/medical research institutions, or large nonprofit healthcare organizations.
  • Ability to tell broad, macro-level R&D stories, focusing on drug discovery ambitions and the overarching scientific narrative.
  • Proactive in finding and developing compelling stories that resonate with the company’s internal audience.
