Business Development Manager – Life Sciences

A leading law firm is seeking a strategic and relationship-focused Business Development Manager to help expand its Life Sciences practice. This is an opportunity for someone with strong knowledge of the biotech and life sciences ecosystem who enjoys working at the intersection of client development, market strategy, and innovation.

Location: Boston, New York, Washington DC, Silicon Valley, or San Francisco (Hybrid)

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and execute business development initiatives to grow the Life Sciences practice.

  • Advise partners on market trends, client opportunities, and growth strategies.

  • Identify and pursue new relationships through events, sponsorships, and speaking opportunities.

  • Collaborate with partners and BD colleagues on cross-selling and client engagement efforts.

  • Support the development of thought leadership and the firm’s visibility in the life sciences sector.

  • Maintain accurate CRM data and monitor industry trends to uncover new opportunities.

What you bring:

  • Deep understanding of the life sciences and biotech startup ecosystem.

  • Excellent communication, project management, and relationship-building skills.

  • Experience with CRM tools, research databases, and Microsoft Office.

  • Prior experience in a law firm or professional services environment is preferred.

  • 6+ years of business development or client relationship experience, bachelor’s degree required.

Compensation:
Base salary range of $138,000 – $206,250, plus discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits.
