Associate Director of SEC Reporting

The Job
This role will lead the SEC Reporting team and primarily be responsible for putting together the 10-K and 10-Q. You will be responsible for solving technical accounting problems, and be the primary point of contact for external auditors.

 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical accounting research
  • Assist in the financial reporting process, including the preparation and review of disclosures included in SEC filings
  • Review the financial statements including but not limited to cash flow statement, earnings release, investor presentations
  • Collaborate with senior leaders such as legal, investor relations, and other departments
  • Evaluate the impact of new GAAP and IFRS standards. 
  • Manage stock based compensation
  • Develop internal control framework and SOX compliance efforts
  • Develop and assist with the preparation of financial materials used in presentations to the Board of Directors, Audit Committee and Executive Management.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and standardize processes/controls

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar
  • 8+ years of technical accounting and SEC reporting experience
  • Active CPA license required
  • Substantial knowledge and experience in U.S. GAAP, AICPA and SEC financial reporting standards.
  • Prior hands-on experience with the implementation and monitoring of global SOX compliance.

Nice to have

  • Masters in Accounting or Similar
  • Big 4 Audit experience
  • Stock Based compensation experience
